Sahasa Simha Vishnuvardhan, The superstar and the stylish actor of kannada cinema has been selected for the the prestigious Dr.Rajkumar award for the year 2007 - 2008 from the government of Karnataka. The award has been conferred on him in recognition for his exemplarory service to the Kannada cine industry for the last 37 years. The winner of this award will be presented with a cheque of Rs.2,00,000 and a gold medal. Dr.Vishnu has acted in 199 movies as a lead actor and is almost ready for his 200th one. Apart from announcing this award, the state also announced awards for the 2007 year and Mathad Mathad Mallige starring Vishnu has received two awards. Among the best movie category, MMM stood 3rd and also won the best lyricist(Golahalli Shivaprasad) award.
