The much awaited movie of the year has finally hit the marquee and is running to packed houses all over karnataka. This is the first time that the beloved Meshtru Nagathihalli Chandashekar is directing senior actor and super star Dr.Vishnuvardhan. The results are amazing and its for everyone to see.

The story is mainly penned looking at the latest happenings in and around Indian culture. The impact of globalization on the poor people and how villages are being neglected. This inturn will have adverse consequences on the environment and disturb our eco balance.
Hoovaiah is a farmer specialized in growing flowers of jasmine variety. He is a dedicated family man who is succesful and happily living with his wife (Suhasini Manirathnam) and three daughters. The peace of this family and Hoovaiah gets spoilt by the order from the government allowing a multi national company buy 10 villages and a river near by them for mining. Hoovaiah is very attached to his ancestral property and to the village that he has grown up with. He takes on the entire political system single handedly using the weapon of love and non violence. He looses his wife in this battle but finally emerges victorious. In his path of non violence he encounters a group of naxalites and their leader played by Sudeep. He preaches them about the consequences of taking violent approach to problems and how it will have an adverse effect on the system and people.

Highlights:

Nagathihalli Chandrashekar has lived up to people's expectations through this movie. He has also stuck to the Practice What You Preach Philosophy. He himself has participated in various environmental protection programmes and has led many struggles against the globalization and the effects of it on our culture and villages. He has carefully scripted a neat story and has conveyed the same to the people through main stream cinema by adding little commercial touch. In this era of movies with sex and violence, the entire team of MMM should be lauded for their effort to take up a brave stance and come up with such a neat family entertainer. This movie is like an oasis in the desert. This movie has again put back the word that main stream cinema should have some social message in them and guide the viewers to behave in the society in a responsible manner.

Performances:

The prodigal Dr.Vishnu returns to glory !!. He has come back with a bang and tackles the subject excellently. This is a bravura performance from a person who has acting in his blood. The scene where he takes on the MNC's in their discussion is exemplary. His another scene and dialogues with Sudeep makes the crowd stand on their feet and whistle. He and Suhasini have given great hits like Bandhana, Suprabatha and Muttina Hara. This movie is sure to add another feather to the duo's cap of success.
Suhasini as usual gives a wonderful performance and has supported the movie and Dr.Vishnu's role whole heartedly. She is outstanding in couple of scenes.
MathadMathaduMalligeSudeep in his brief apperance sets the screen on fire. He does what he is best at and his role of an angry naxalite is executed to complete perfection. The comedy section is neatly handled and delivered by the combination of Tara, Dodanna, Komal and Mandya Ramesh. Rangayana Raghu shines in his brief role of Meer Sadique and lives up to the expectations comfortably.
In the end the movie's real hero is Nagathihalli Chandrashekar. This man can give some real different movies and has proved that he can handle sensible subjects with superestars comfortably. He has made a movie for people of all ages, timeless in its appeal as it aims straight for the inherent hope and goodness in everyone. Sometimes a person or a film comes in and shows a tiny crack in the wall filled with sunlight. This sudden emergence of light and our hearts is filled with happiness. This is what Nagathihalli succeeds in achieving through this movie.

Music & Camera:

Music score by Manomurthy is another highlight of the movie. The songs are exactly what the film needs, pleasant and soulful throughout with a background score that enhances them, using the soundscape of the songs itself. Baare nam therig hogona is picturised beautifully and the richness can be seen all over. Banna Banna song is another one that remains in your memory. Not falling back veteran singer C.Ashwath steals the lime light by singing Ella Maya Naale Neevu Maya.Cinmeatography by Krishna Kumar and editing by Basavaraj Urs is another plus point in the movie.
