The All India Conference Of Intellectuals has conferred the "Great Son Of Karnataka" award to superstar Vishnuvardhan. The award ceremony was held at the Ashoka Hotel on the 6th of July. Vishnu who has acted in more than 180 films is also being honoured by the Kannada Cine PRO's association at Ravindra Kalakshetra on the 9th of July.
