Story:

Dr.Vishnuvardhan's 197th movie is another neat family entertainer. The return of Dr.Vishnu and Nagabharana after a gap of 28 years is a must watch with lot of surprises throughout.

Shashank (Dr.Vishnu) is a director of a marriage bureau named Janumada Jodi. He makes sure that the marraiges he arranges is all in the right spirit and goes to the extent of punishing the offenders. The story mainly is stitched around Urmila (Navya Nair) who is a very young girl but lives with Shashank as his wife. All hell breaks loose when an army officer Alok (Vijay Raghavendra) comes and announces that Urmila is none other than his lover Charulatha. Urmila doesn't want to believe what Alok is saying. Meanwhile to add more confusion, Poovaiah (Anantnag) believes that he knows the real truth about Sashank and Urmila. The story is described in a flash back where Shashank and Urmila (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) are a married happy couple and are very close to Charulatha. One day Urmila dies in a road accident and this shock overtakes Charulatha's mental control. She starts suffering from disassociative identity disorder and starts behaving like her close friend Urmila. The rest of the story is about how Shashank cures Charulatha and restores peace.

Performances:

This film is worth the wait. Infact Dr.Vishnu didnt have a single release last year but his 197th movie doesn't disappoint his fans or the family audience who throngs to theaters to watch him.The man's experience as well as his training help him get under the skin of this character so effectively that there are times you can almost forget the name of the actor essaying the role. Another highlight is the presentation of Dr.Vishnu on screen. He seems to get smarter and smarter as he is getting older.
Navya Nair essays the role given to her perfectly and gives excellent support to Vishnu. She has matched him scene to scene and they both outclass each other in the Munnar hospital scene.
Anant Nag, Vijay Raghavendra and Sharath Babu have provided the necessary support to make this a wonderful movie.
On a qualitative level, stellar performances, good plot and effective dialogues are the trifecta that ensures a very good movie from Nagabharana. As movie industry progresses, the handling of disassociative identity disorder and and split personality is improving and Nagabharna doesn't lag behind and proves his mettle in this too. Its a good film that he has directed after the historical background movie Kallarali Hoovagi.

Music & Lyrics:

Hamsalekha's music score is melodious and soothing. The numbers Dhundu Bhoomige and Ninne Rathri are defnite to become big hits. Ramesh Babu does a good job in handling the camera and shooting the beautiful locales.

Drawbacks:

Since the success of Aptamitra was so huge, people are bound to compare this and associate this movie with Aptamitra.
